      Disposition:

    • Lighthearted: Monts is lighthearted and is known as a serene presence at the Midnight Grind. She greets friends and strangers alike with a bright smile and has a laidback persona in her everyday dealings. Although she is deeply contemplative and prone to languishing in her own dark thoughts, Monts is not one to burden anyone else with them, not without established trust and respect. If anything, she is more concerned with cheering up others whether it's through offering her assistance in some manner or through friendly teasing. Her easygoing demeanor helps others relax around her and shows that she is the type of person one can confide in because she does not cast heavy judgment on others.

    • Playful: Whether it's the first meeting or you're well-acquainted, one will not escape interaction with Monts without a playful tease or sardonic remark. She is flirtatious to a degree, but for her, it's all in good fun, if a bit self-serving. She gets a kick out of garnering a flustered reaction. Monts won't necessarily tease to the point where she'll hit someone's sore spot unless the other person is on the lower end of her favor; that's when her words have more bite as she continues to smile.

    • Forlorn: Her casual friendliness is genuine, but Monts continues to wrestle with the nature of her existence. She is not completely human, but nor does she want to be a monster although her condition makes it too easy to be one. There are times Monts feels she goes through the motions of everyday life keenly aware that she has yet to meet anyone who can explain what she is or what exactly is in her body. That is why she assumes there will always be an invisible distance between her and others. To Monts, it is a given that while she craves complete acceptance and she is willing to give her all, she doesn't expect much in return. People will come and go and Monts believes that she'll simply continue her tenuous life as a near-immortal entity.

    • Paradoxical Monster: The majority of the time, Monts is a perfectly normal young woman with a normal personality. However, when put into a dangerous situation where her limits are pushed, she can resort to violent actions and disturbing words, transforming into an eldritch-like monster that toys with her victims in retaliation for whatever was done to her. And Monts hates this. The thought of having the capability to run rampant paradoxically terrifies and excites her. Ultimately, her potential for impulsive violence for her own pleasure is ultimately a rare occurrence; this demonstrates how Monts is both a monster who hates how fragile her human body is and a human who hates her monstrous qualities.

    • Suitability: Monts comes from a world of magic, espers, and other supernatural entities which she is only recently aware of. A year prior to her current state, Monts was a victim of accidental murder that triggered her fully monstrous form. After years of suppressing herself and dealing with internal loneliness, she went on a roaring rampage of revenge against her murderers, but thankfully she was defeated by a witch and a golem whom she now works for. The extreme trauma had Monts coming out of the other end relatively okay all things considered. She was fortunate enough to meet Iona J. Oakes, the witch who revealed to her a much bigger world full of wonders, both awesome and frightening, just like her even if she is still considered a peculiar anomaly.

Monts ended up having an idyllic lifestyle as a college student working at the magical Midnight Grind cafe that saw visitors from different worlds and dimensions so she'll be used to that concept already. Actually living in a new place without a means of return might unsettle her because she's only recently gotten used to the security that the cafe offered of being able to meet different people without having to invest too deeply in them since they were just customers. She will be out of her element, but have a natural curiosity in order to understand the new environment. Having been through an emotionally heavy event of her own, she'll be able to adjust with some help and may even start to warm up to the idea of being around others who are just as strange if not stranger than her. Monts only had a few close relationships at home, so the chance to bond more deeply with other people, whether platonic or romantic will help her grow more compassion for others and be more forgiving of herself.

Also, she's no stranger to transformations happening to her body, but the Gembond effects will definitely challenge her conceptions of herself and others who are going through the same experience as her.

      Condition upon arrival:

Completely healthy without a scratch on her person. The alien substance under her skin isn't reacting as it usually would since she gained her Gembond, but that's more a good thing than not and there is no concern to be had about it otherwise.

      Abilities:

Monts has an extraterrestrial substance in her body that's existed in her since she was a child. It is of unknown origins. Normally, it rests on the back of her neck, looking like a floral tattoo. It makes her reacts to danger and threats by spreading itself throughout Monts like a living membrane and alters her appearance and behavior to varying degrees.

Partial take over is just the mark spreading itself throughout different parts of her body, reacting to an immediate danger. Her base personality and sense of self are still intact.

100% takeover mode is where the mark completely covers her body and Monts displays more aggression, cryptic eldritch verbiage, and some bloodlust. This form is rarely seen unless Monts is in a near-death state or is facing an emergency situation that she can't overcome normally. This form will be nerfed for game purposes.

    • Healing Factor: As part of its self-preservation instinct, the creature has made Monts have a body that is nigh unkillable. Minor cuts, scrapes, burns, and bruises fade away near-instantly. Broken limbs and other physical injuries are restored within minutes and even bullet wounds seal themselves up. Based on experience, even a broken neck and spine can be restored thanks to her creature so it's confirmed that for the most part, she cannot truly die by some conventional means. Injury to the brain may disable her for a while, but that can also heal given time.

    • Pain Insensitivity: Similar to a numbing agent, Monts' monster also causes her to feel little to no pain. She barely notices if she's gotten hurt due to her healing factor and even when injured heavily she only vaguely registers that her body is non-functioning for that period of time. It takes extreme and repetitive actions to make her aware of pain. Her sense of touch is affected to a lesser degree so she's still aware of sensations such as coldness and heat or moisture and dryness and other textures. Monts can also tell if she's being touched by something or someone else.

    • Enhanced Strength and Speed: Monts is fast and agile enough to outrun a speeding car or dodge bullets making her particularly tricky to hit. Her strength is enough to cause small craters in walls or the ground if she puts her fist into those, but she can't say, lift a building like Superman. But when she hits, she hits hard and could break walls and tear apart limbs with little effort.

    • Heightened Sixth Sense: The mark is particularly sensitive and alerts Monts of magic, psychic, and other supernatural auras. She can perceive things that aren't normal to the human eye, but this tends to not work if the person or object intentionally hides their aura. She can't really distinguish between auras and just categorizes things as "normal" to "not normal" and "strong" to "weak."

    • While Monts refers to the alien blemish as a separate entity, in truth they are just one being; an oddity from the beyond fused with a human resulting in a being using the name Marianna "Monts" wearing a human shell and inhabiting her mind even if she struggles to come to terms with it. Although it has yet to be noticeable, Monts has an inkling that she will not age due to the creature's healing abilities.

It is worth noting that Monts is not a skillful fighter. She leans more on the side of a berserker especially when her creature completely takes over her body. One simply just has to be creative in able to stop Monts in her tracks because otherwise, she will just keep getting back up.

And while this is mundane, it's worth noting that Monts is a barista so she knows how to make a large variety of cafe drinks. Nifty.

Inventory: Monts will have her phone; most if not all the apps won't work except for stored music, photos, and short video clips of her friends, family, and the interior of the Midnight Cafe.

      Gembond: Emerald

Gem Location: Back of the neck.

    « MISCELLANEOUS »

Sample: TDM Thread and Previous Game Thread.

Notes: As stated above, due to the nature of the game regarding body transformations, the capability of Monts devolving into her full-fledged monstrous side from her alien mark will be null and void with the Gembond effects taking priority.
