Pardon, but curiosity took a hold of me and I could not help but to peruse your suggestion, while I know it wasn't aimed towards me, I cannot pass up seeking new text to read. It wasn't particularly enlightening, but rather, I found it entertaining. Amusing really. To think.

Of course, fitting the story, applying it to life, I know of someone who may seemingly fit the role. But I know for certain her concoctions are not due to nefarious intent, it's a passion even if it ends with her using an eclectic array of ingredients, so of course, most would be suspicious to try her dishes.

Anyway, would you happen to have any other recommendations? I do favor books on adventure, tales of heroics, and valiant deeds.

Before she received the text, Monts was just lolling about in a rather sad excuse for an apartment room she was provided (It had a fairly comfortable futon though it smelled old, a table, an electric fan, and a small window she can gaze outside at. Gotta start somewhere.)

This is an extreme downgrade to his previous life of opulence in which he once had a household staff, access to his own wealth, and all the finery he could ever wish to wear. Not at all, Xiangling is in fact a very talented chef, a master of the culinary arts I would say. However, she does have a tendency to get overexcited in her experimentation in the creation of new dishes. After all most people aren't willing to partake in any dish that has something like slime condensate or lizard tails as an ingredient.

As for weaponizing her creations. She has no ill intent, believe me, she is very honest and hardworking. Although, now that you mention perhaps I implement those dishes in the future. Yes, I may ask her to cater for me one day.

Greetings Midnightmocha,

It has been quite some time since our last correspondence, I have given our exchange much thought which I will detail later in this message. But now I reach out to you once again my esteemed advisor in the hopes that this message finds you well, especially in light of the past and current events, things have become turbulent, to say the least. I am sure everyone in some way or another has found themselves far more occupied in recent times, I have, and it is why I have been unable to settle down to finish this message. Actually, this has been revised from the initial draft but anyway I won't bore you with that.

For some time now, I meant to inform you that I managed to read through all the titles you so graciously took the time to recommend. I even began to peruse some other works by those authors. It's why I feel a great deal of gratitude to you, while some of the novels and plays are not typical genres I would naturally veer towards I am the type of person to keep an open mind to most literary works.

But now, I can't help to think often about the closing of that last novel. All human wisdom is contained in two words. Ah. It reminds me of what a stag represents. The hope of being unexpectedly rescued from a desperate situation.

Now, I must confess, I did end up at the festival after all. Not long mind you, it got a bit rowdy. I don't mean the conclusion, I was not there for that. Despite everything I hope your plans went well and you got to dress up, be pretty and well I hope no customers gave you too much trouble. You weren't hurt, were you? I should have reached out before, this makes me seem careless.

Oh. About our prior conversation, I didn't mention it to a friend of mind in detail, I made a vague comment about reaching out to strangers. Which I suppose we may be. I'm under the impression he finds it odd. Do you think it was strange for me to contact you? Given all the networking people do, I thought perhaps it might be less awkward to do so through private means but I am not completely aware of all the etiquette involved in using this method of communication.

I'm doing well despite what happened at the Parade. Unfortunately, I did get a minor injury at the end of the night but nothing that I couldn't wait out. Your message about reading the books I recommend was very nice and uplifting.

Regarding how you reached out to me randomly, yes it is strange, but I think it's a given based on the inevitable differences in cultures. But I've had worse unsolicited messengers, trust me. I'm okay with being anonymous text buddies for the time being.

I must completely agree with you. I quite liked the initial part of the festival, although those blossoming trees were eerie and rumors turned out true. Having good company made it enjoyable.

For me, I was told I was fortunate to have missed that chaotic conclusion. I feel a bit guilty I couldn't render much aid, even now. I do hope you are able to make a speedy recovery. I know well injuries, even when minimal can be uncomfortable and inconvenient. Though I am of little service, lack talent to offer true comfort, I am glad at least my words can lift spirits.

So it was odd after all, I suppose it's not quite like messages set adrift in glass bottles, it does have a direct person in mind when delivered. You wouldn't know it if you ever get to see me in person, but I'm fairly hardy. I recovered quickly enough all things considered.

If you ever need to learn about shorthand in texting, I think I'm pretty up to date with my slang. Just keep in mind that it evolves and people come up with new shorthand every now and then to the point where even I think I'm falling behind. There are a lot of mainstays though, so it should be enough for you to use if you ever feel like it.

Good evening, I do hope I am not interrupting or being an inconvenience but there is something I have been wondering. Actually, I have two questions. I figured for both you would be a great source of information. Okay, the first, it has to do with a term I've heard. So then, what is a boomer?

Hey there! To answer your questions:

1) "Boomer" is a specific type of aura one emits. Stubborn, willingly blind to what's in front of them, entitled, and overall just unpleasant. There's more to it, but I wouldn't encourage its use here.

2) Some films to pass the time... I'll give you three, all are pretty different. The "Neverending Story" is good, I like "Chef" for a more laidback situation and all the food, and for a horror film... "The Exorcist."

But after all the cursed blood rain, you'll have to decide if you'd like some horror in your movie diet or not.

Hm. For some reason, I had the impression that word was much more nuanced than that, but it appears it is entirely viewed in a negative light. There is no need for concern, there is no intention to include it in my vocabulary but I do enjoy gaining knowledge and a bit of perspective. Aside from that, I was not the only one curious about that word. So this information doesn't only help me.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I do believe that the last selection is also the title of a book. I know without a doubt the first is a novel, I do actually own a copy that I obtained a little over a month prior. Now, this is going to be curious.

Guess what today happens to be? If you guessed that it's my birthday then you would be absolutely correct!

Imagine, that through all our exchanges and despite the convenience of a phone, we never did learn each others' birthdays so I decided on this day that I would remedy that.

Aa. But it's the usual here and as always it means that tonight I'll seek adventure. Worry not, I've got everything prepared for when I take flight. Food and Mora. And of course, a reliable friend at my side. Who knows what we'll find out in Jueyun Karst. Certainly, it will be much more exciting than any stuffy party with guests to politely tend to. Just thinking about it and I can't help but sigh.

But it is important for my father and brother so just for a little while, just during that time, I'll be on my best behavior.

While I may not have gotten the chance to mention the technological progress found through Fontaine, guess what I recently discovered? Aside from creating the gadget called a Kamera, they're producing films in that nation. At least, that's what a traveling merchant mentioned. If I do get the opportunity I'll have to preview one of their films. What can I say, I have to make the comparison and of course, I will tell you all about it.

Not much to report on my end after Jigokucho ceremoniously combusted. I'm able to go back every now and then which is odd since it's not somewhere I'd call home... But I suppose it was even for those few months, huh?

The cafe is bustling though, so that means business is good! I guess being in hell wasn't a total waste of time.
